   HIGHER EDUCATION

Academic specializations dealing with Middle Eastern Americans are emerging in numerous universities across the United States and include course offerings and mentoring offered by faculty members at the City University of New York/Graduate Center, the University of Michigan branches at Dearborn and Ann Arbor, Georgetown University, University of Texas, Austin, San Jose State University, USC, and UCLA. Several dozen graduate students are completing doctoral studies across the disciplines, from anthropology and sociology, history and comparative literature, to ethnic and cultural studies, film and television, and theater arts. These scholarly pursuits are buttressed by substantial library collections and opportunities for field research. More information and details are forthcoming.
